Dale Simons
– Managing Director

Dale draws on more than 15 years experience in the IT and Mechanical Engineering fields. He founded MiDO in 2012 to transform the lives of learners through access to technology. Dale also serves on various boards where he shares his expertise. Fun Fact: Dale is an avid mountain biker, golfer and passionate father. He also enjoys exploring his family history and heritage through his family tree research.

Nhlanhla Mthembu
– Project Administrator

Nhlanhla is passionate about social innovation, social impact, product and business development. He has spent 15 years in the social enterprise space, training social entrepreneurs to create revenue streams to support their dreams. He has a reputation for creating and curating large scale international events for small businesses and social impact organisations. He has worked in SADC and East Africa unlocking new opportunities for small and medium sized businesses.  Fun Fact: Nhlanhla is an avid Orlando Pirates fan, taking up Golf lessons now and a closet activist. He is a father and husband, moonlights as a garden boy at his wife’s Butterfly Farm.

Nadine Farao
– Sales & Marketing Manager

Nadine is an enthusiastic go getter, who joined the Mido team in 2020. Her formal studies in Tourism and Hospitality helped prepare her for a career in which she excels at working with people. Nadine is responsible for the Sales and Marketing at Mido. Fun Fact: Nadine enjoys the outdoors especially hiking and camping. She keeps fit by doing regular Zumba sessions. Nadine also believes in uplifting the youth in her community and is involved in a number of community-based organisations.

Verity Simons
– Business Administrator

Verity is the Co-founder of MiDO alongside her husband and holds a Diploma in Hotel Operations and Management. With more than 18 years experience in management and admin, she believes that nothing is as important as exposing the youth to the limitless possibilities that exist beyond their current circumstances.

Sheldon Bergstedt
– Technical Solutions

Idiosyncratic individual with a flair demonstrated aptitude for operational management and relationship building beyond cultural and international frontiers! Fun Fact: I have been an extra in the movie Star Trek – Beyond and have represented Gauteng in action cricket.

Raymond Brinkhuis
– Chief Financial Officer

Raymond is the Founder and Director of Lierolac (Pty) Ltd, a consulting company established in 2017. He applies his skills and experience in Operations, Audit and Finance (which was accumulated in his banking career of over 22 years) to assist small business owners to establish and operate sustainable business ventures. Fun Fact: Raymond enjoys spending time on creative activities like drawing, painting, and making cement garden planting pots.

Kim-Lynn van de Rheede
– HR Management

I am an energetic, deep thinking, creative and intuitive woman, passionate about seeing people grow in their unique callings and reaching their full potential. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management in 2016 and with this I’ve been offering HR solutions to small and medium enterprises on a pro bono basis until Mileck HR Solutions was born 1 May 2019. Fun Fact: I enjoy long walks on the beach and sunset drives.

Xandre Bailey
– Learning & Development Specialist

Xandré is a Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof and Stellenbosch University Alumni that started her career in Learning and Development in 2010. She has a passion for developing learner’s skills, knowledge and behaviour to enable them to perform at their best. As the Learning Support Specialist and  Product Developer, Xandré will draw on her experience and knowledge of “how people learn” to develop the Quest Online Platform. Fun Fact: Xandré is married with 2 daughters, 2 dogs and 3 goldfish. She is an avid golfer and enjoys being outdoors. She also enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures.

Cassidy Williams
– Digital Marketing Coordinator

With a natural ability for graphic design and coupled with her experience in social media and photography, Cassidy has an eye for detail and brings a wealth of skills and knowledge in terms of visual content representation. Fun Fact: Cassidy is a professional golfer and is looking to start her career on the Ladies Sunshine Tour.

Jody Karra
– Project Administrator

Jody was the first MiDO Hub Co-ordinator at Stellenzicht High School (#StelliezHub). She accelerated her career at MiDO through her dedication and hard work – all while studying part time. Jody is skilled at creating structure in the office through her ability to organise and streamline our processes and communication. Fun Fact: Jody and her sketch artist boyfriend share a passion for Pigeon Racing.

Daniel Solomons
– Chaplain

Daniel is a Stellenbosch University graduate with a BA in Industrial Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in HIV/Aids Management, a MPhil in HIV/Aids Management and a MTh in Clinical Pastoral Care. He has spent most of his career working with students and learners, first as Faculty Secretary for the Law, Theology and Economic and Management Sciences faculties and later as Director of Dynamic Skills Consultants. He is passionate about transforming the lives of South Africans and positively affecting the youth. Fun Fact: Daniel likes the outdoors, photography, meeting new people and writing.
