Dale Simons

Dale draws on more than 15 years experience in the IT and Mechanical Engineering fields. He founded MiDO in 2012 to transform the lives of learners through access to technology. Dale also serves on various boards where he shares his expertise. Fun Fact: Dale is an avid mountain biker, golfer and passionate father. He also enjoys exploring his family history and heritage through his family tree research.
Verity Simons
– Business Administrator
Verity is the Co-founder of MiDO alongside her husband and holds a Diploma in Hotel Operations and Management. With more than 18 years experience in management and admin, she believes that nothing is as important as exposing the youth to the limitless possibilities that exist beyond their current circumstances.
Raymond Brinkhuis
– Chief Financial Officer
Raymond is the Founder and Director of Lierolac (Pty) Ltd, a consulting company established in 2017. He applies his skills and experience in Operations, Audit and Finance (which was accumulated in his banking career of over 22 years) to assist small business owners to establish and operate sustainable business ventures. Fun Fact: Raymond enjoys spending time on creative activities like drawing, painting, and making cement garden planting pots.
Xandre Bailey
– Learning & Development Specialist
Xandré is a Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof and Stellenbosch University Alumni that started her career in Learning and Development in 2010. She has a passion for developing learner’s skills, knowledge and behaviour to enable them to perform at their best. As the Learning Support Specialist and Product Developer, Xandré will draw on her experience and knowledge of “how people learn” to develop the Quest Online Platform. Fun Fact: Xandré is married with 2 daughters, 2 dogs and 3 goldfish. She is an avid golfer and enjoys being outdoors. She also enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures.
Daniel Solomons
– Chaplain
Daniel is a Stellenbosch University graduate with a BA in Industrial Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in HIV/Aids Management, a MPhil in HIV/Aids Management and a MTh in Clinical Pastoral Care. He has spent most of his career working with students and learners, first as Faculty Secretary for the Law, Theology and Economic and Management Sciences faculties and later as Director of Dynamic Skills Consultants. He is passionate about transforming the lives of South Africans and positively affecting the youth. Fun Fact: Daniel likes the outdoors, photography, meeting new people and writing.
